Richard A. Wilson, MD, FACC

A native of Connecticut, Dr. Wilson received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

He completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Vermont and completed a second fellowship in Nuclear Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Wilson also completed a British American Heart research fellowship at Royal Post-Graduate Medical School, London, U.K. and a Fogarty Senior International Fellowship at the Thoraxcenter at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Wilson joined Salem Cardiology Associates in 1997. Prior to joining the group, he was a Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Dr. Wilson is married and has four grown children. When not practicing cardiology, he can most likely be found engaged in one of two favorite activities: spending time with family or fishing in the great outdoors.
